08/17/2005 - This class is scheduled for BA 113.  Read the first chapter of the textbook and be prepared to discuss the Chapter 1 discussion questions.  You should also purchase the reading materials, which are available at bookstore in the Student Union.

8/25/2005 - McGraw-Hill provides an alternative method for obtaining textbook materials...I am told students can purchase an eBook for about half the cost of a regular text.  Click here for a PDF file with instructions on how to do that if you are interested.

8/25/2005 - Since we will be using a new edition of the textbook, it is likely you will come across some errors in the text as you read it.  For example, mis-spelled words, figures with wrong numbers, etc. I am interested in identifying these errors, thus I am willing to make a deal with you.  Here's the deal:  For every two errors a student finds in the text that have not been previously identified by someone else, I will award a bonus point. (Errors already found by other students will not count.)  A student may accumulate up to 8 bonus points for finding errors over the course of the semester.  To get credit for finding an error, students should send an email message that specifies:

(1) your name,
(2) the exact page number(s) on which the error occurs,
(3) a word-by-word listing of the error, and
(4) what the appropriate correction should be (if clearly identifiable).

I will award credit in the order that the email messages are received.  As the list grows, I will collect the errors in a file and post them on the course web site.
